Position Overview
As a Content Editor & Social Media Specialist at Vinnie Mac Restoration Marketing, you'll create compelling, SEO-optimized content and manage social media strategies for water damage, fire, and mold restoration contractors across the country. You'll collaborate with our SEO team to develop AI-driven content that engages audiences and drives results, while also managing social media calendars and platforms for our restoration clients. This role combines content creation, editing, and social media management to help our clients build their online presence and attract qualified leads.
Job Responsibilities
Content Writing & Editing:
- Collaborate with the SEO team to develop compelling and engaging AI-driven content for our restoration clients including:
- Blog posts
- Website pages
- Case studies
- Ad copy
- Business descriptions
- Service descriptions
- Use AI tools and technologies to generate, refine, and optimize content, ensuring it aligns with our clients' objectives and target audiences
- Follow content briefs to ensure content is optimized for SEO utilizing keywords, headings, and linking
- Utilize clients' job documentation software to pull photos and content for case studies
- Post blogs and case studies to client sites using WordPress and Duda
Social Media Management:
- Utilize AI to write copy as needed for social posts, videos, and more
- Utilize Canva for basic photo and video edits (adding a logo to a photo, changing out an image, removing a phone number from a photo, etc.)
- Schedule social media calendars on a weekly basis
- Create and optimize social platforms for new clients
- Monitor client social channels regularly
- Research industry trends for our restoration clients and apply these strategies to our own social presence
- Upload YouTube videos to client channels
Daily Tasks:
- Monitor email inbox
- Monitor ClickUp dashboard and notifications
- Document tasks
- Check and respond to Slack messages
Weekly Tasks:
- Compile, write, and schedule blog posts and case studies
- Work on recurring social media calendars
- Upload YouTube videos to client channels
Monthly Tasks:
- Monitor social posts going out
- Reconnect any disconnected social platforms
Annually:
- Research new social trends to incorporate into client content (semi-annually)
- Update relevant holidays for restoration clients and add to the social calendar
As Needed:
- Create case study and weather-related social posts
- Onboard clients from social platforms and our scheduling tool
- Create/update process documents and our quality assurance checklist
- Join our State of the Company meeting (once per quarter)
- Join 1-on-1 check-in meetings
- Complete other duties as assigned

Bonus Skills:
- Experience with home services, contractors, or emergency services industries
- Understanding of SEO best practices for content writing
