Social Media Specialist

Position Overview

Vinnie Mac Restoration Marketing is a full-service digital marketing agency specializing in the restoration and home services industries.


We are seeking a Contract Social Media Specialist to support one of our largest franchise clients during a temporary coverage period. This role will primarily manage the day-to-day social media presence for a portfolio of franchise locations, ensuring content is created, scheduled, and published accurately while maintaining a consistent brand presence across all locations.


In addition to managing these franchise accounts, this role will occasionally support the broader Content Team with content marketing projects such as graphic creation, content updates, platform administration, and other production tasks as needed. 


This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is highly organized, and can manage multiple social media accounts simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Our Content Team relies heavily on AI to assist with written content, image generation, research, and other creative workflows. We're looking for someone who is comfortable using AI as part of their daily work while understanding that human review, creativity, and quality control remain essential. You'll receive training on our processes, tools, and workflows to help ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management & Content Creation

  • Manage social media for a portfolio of franchise locations while maintaining brand consistency and location-specific accuracy.
  • Build monthly content calendars at least one month in advance.
  • Research client industries, audience trends, and platform best practices before creating content.
  • Write engaging captions and social copy tailored to each platform using AI-assisted workflows while ensuring all content is reviewed, edited, and customized for each client.
  • Design social graphics and visual assets using Canva or similar tools.
  • Source images using client-provided assets, stock photography, or AI-generated imagery when appropriate.
  • Perform basic photo and video editing, including logo placement, image updates, and simple visual enhancements.
  • Upload and manage video content across client social channels.
  • Maintain consistent branding and quality across all assigned accounts.
  • Use AI tools to assist with content creation, brainstorming, research, and creative production while maintaining high standards for accuracy, originality, and brand voice.


Platform Health & Administration

  • Manage and schedule content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile.
  • Set up new social media channels for clients when needed.
  • Monitor client social channels and identify issues requiring attention.
  • Troubleshoot social media access, Business Manager permissions, and scheduling platform issues.
  • Reconnect disconnected platforms and resolve publishing errors.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding clients within social platforms and scheduling tools.


Content Team Support

  • Assist the Content Team with content marketing projects as workload allows.
  • Create graphics, edit images, upload content, and complete production tasks supporting client deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Content Specialists to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and assist wherever additional support is needed during the contract period.
  • Support AI-assisted content production workflows for social media and other content marketing projects as needed.


Cross-Team Collaboration & Organization

  • Follow department SOPs and quality assurance processes.
  • Keep ClickUp tasks, statuses, and timelines up to date.
  • Communicate proactively when deadlines or issues arise.
  • Work collaboratively with the Content Team to ensure clients receive high-quality service.

The Contract Social Media Specialist is successful when:

  • Franchise social calendars are built and scheduled on time.
  • Content is accurate, engaging, visually polished, and on brand.
  • Platform issues are identified and resolved quickly.
  • Client accounts remain organized and consistently maintained.
  • ClickUp tasks are updated accurately and deadlines are consistently met.
  • The broader Content Team receives dependable support on production work as needed.
  • Multiple client accounts are managed efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • AI tools are used effectively to improve efficiency and quality while maintaining thoughtful human oversight and attention to detail.

Requirements

Social Media & Marketing Skills (required)

  • Experience managing business social media accounts or creating marketing content.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt to different brand voices.
  • Experience creating graphics in Canva or similar design software.
  • Comfortable researching industries and creating relevant content.
  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, and Google Business Profile.


Technical & AI Skills

  • Experience using social media scheduling platforms such as ContentStudio, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar.
  • Comfortable performing basic photo and video editing.
  • Familiarity with ClickUp, Slack, and Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude, or similar platforms to assist with writing, brainstorming, research, and creative workflows.
  • Understands that AI is a productivity tool, not a replacement for editing, critical thinking, or quality assurance.


Soft Skills

Bonus Experience

  • Prior experience in a marketing agency or social media management role
  • Experience working with franchise or multi-location businesses.
  • Knowledge of restoration, home services, or contractor industries
  • Experience with AI image, video, and content generation tools
  • Familiarity with ContentStudio, Hootsuite, or similar scheduling platforms
  • Basic video editing experience beyond simple Canva edits
