Content Marketing Specialist

Full Time / Remote

We’re not recruiting for this role at the moment, but we’re always open to meeting great people. Submit your application and we’ll keep it on file for when the timing is right.

Position Overview

Vinnie Mac is a full-service marketing agency that helps home service and restoration contractors grow their businesses with proven digital marketing strategies. The Content Marketing Specialist is a core producer on the Content & SM Team, creating, refining, and publishing written content that does real marketing work for our clients and for Vinnie Mac as a brand.

This is not a writing-for-writing's-sake role. Every blog post, web page, and case study exists to drive visibility, build trust, and generate leads. The person in this seat thinks like a marketer first and a writer second. Unlike in-house marketing roles, this position manages content across multiple clients simultaneously, most of them in the restoration space, which means similar topics come up again and again. True stamina, creativity, and the ability to make each client's content feel specific and genuine are non-negotiable here.

We do not expect perfection. Content is highly visible work and mistakes happen. What we do expect is accountability, proactivity, and a mindset that is always learning. We are a team that embraces AI tools and expects this role to be an active participant in finding, learning, and implementing them, not as a shortcut, but as a way to do better work.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy

  • Research topics, client industries, and audience needs before writing, good content starts with understanding, not just execution
  • Write and refine AI-assisted content for clients including blog posts, website pages, landing pages, case studies, ad copy, business descriptions, and service descriptions
  • Write conversion-focused landing page copy aligned with paid ads and campaign strategy
  • Support email marketing initiatives as needed, including campaign copy and nurture sequences
  • Approach every piece with a marketing mindset: who is this for, what do they need to know, and what do we want them to do next
  • Follow content briefs and collaborate with the SEO team as a partner, not just an order-taker, contributing ideas and flagging opportunities as you spot them
  • Find ways to make each client's content feel specific and authentic to their business, even when the topic territory is familiar
  • Select images to accompany content, whether client-provided, stock photography, or AI-generated when neither is available
  • Pull photos and job documentation from client software to support case study creation
  • Publish blogs and case studies to client websites primarily using WordPress, with occasional work in Duda

Cross-Team Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with the SEO team to ensure content strategy and execution are aligned and continuously improving
  • Support the CS team by occasionally contributing content strategy ideas for at-risk clients or upsell conversations, and helping them feel confident communicating the value of content marketing to clients
  • Stay current on SEO and content marketing trends and bring relevant insights back to the team

Quality & Process

  • Review all AI-assisted output carefully before it goes out, quality that reflects well on the client and the agency is the goal, not just speed
  • Follow department SOPs and QA checklists consistently and flag gaps when you spot them
  • Contribute to improving templates, documentation, and workflows as the team grows

  • Content is accurate, on-brand, well-written, and published on schedule
  • Every piece reads like it was written for that specific client, not like it came off an assembly line
  • The SEO team has a reliable content partner who contributes to strategy, not just execution
  • The CS team feels supported and equipped to talk confidently about content marketing
  • AI tools are being used to elevate quality and consistency, not just move faster
  • Mistakes are owned quickly, learned from, and do not repeat
